Private Events

Nestled in the enchanting landscape of the Lucca hills, with its Renaissance elegance, large centuries- old park and winery producing high quality wine and olive oil, “La Badiola” fully embodies the culture of beauty and fine living so dear to the Tuscans, providing a refined and sophisticated setting for any event.

General Information
  • Each event has exclusive use for the day.
  • The park and ground floor of the villa, consisting of a central hall, three adjacent rooms and two bathrooms, are made available for any type of event.
  • PLAN B – In case of bad weather, it is possible to move the event to the ground floor of the villa, in which case, up to a maximum of 130 people can be seated. If you opt for a standing format with support tables and scattered sofas, up to 170/180 people can be accommodated. Externally, the maximum capacity is 380/400 people.
  • It is in any case possible to set up a marquee without ground anchorage, the assembly and disassembly of which is the responsibility of the supplier. In this case, we charge an additional fee to reserve the facility even the day before (or after) the event.
  • We do not have an in-house kitchen service as we rely on external caterers who are given a designated room where they can conduct their business for the event.
  • Currently, it is not possible to arrange overnight stays within the venue. We do not have special agreements with nearby accommodation facilities but we can suggest some if requested.
  • The facility has an ample and well-lit car park for guests just outside the entrance gate.
Restrictions
  • Where caterers are employed, if the event is scheduled for lunch, it must end by 06:00 p.m., and if scheduled for dinner, by 02:00 a.m.. However, upon request and with the assistance of the caterer, if communicated in advance it is possible to extend the above time slots with an additional charge. All rooms must be vacated by caterers by 09:00 a.m. the following day.
  • Outside music must be switched off by midnight in compliance with Council Regulation No. 215 of 10/08/2016. It will only be possible to continue by equipping guests with headphones and switching to silent disco mode or by moving to the rooms inside the building.
  • The use of confetti, Chinese lanterns, fire baskets, smoke bombs and anything that may produce potentially incendiary sparks is strictly prohibited. Fireworks are permitted only in the area we have cordoned off and if performed by qualified personnel with certification from the Fire Department.
Suppliers
  • The facility does not provide set-up or catering services. There are no restrictions on hiring vendors, but please provide the names of any vendors you choose. If requested, we will be happy to suggest some that we have been working with for some time.
  • There are areas at the back of the building where suppliers can park their own vehicles.
  • As a certified organic and vegan winery, we supply our own wines and EVO oil during the events we host. Wine consumption will be billed after the event. However, there are no restrictions on the use of other products.
